Individual Membership

People take part in judo for many different reasons. All levels of ability are catered for with competitions having separate categories to take them into account. There are also non-competitive grades for those no longer able to progress contest wise. Judo is a very physical sport, which makes it ideal to build stamina and fitness. For the younger people it also help build self confidence and a sense of achievement.

So who can take part in judo? Well just about anybody, from school age up to old age and beyond. Although most who take part in judo are male, there is no reason why females can not take part either.
