Level Four

Students will be a minimum of 3rd Dan and, following attendance of a coaching award course, will satisfy the examiners in respect of the following:
• Pass a level III referee award
• Demonstrate knowledge of Nage No Kata, Katame No Kata, Kaeshi Kata, Kime No Kata and Ju No Kata.
• Complete a written examination on coaching techniques and coaching requirements related to national level judo.
Subsequent to the above examination, the student will be assessed in a national event environment and will satisfy the examiners in respect of the following:
• Prepare a programme of sessions over three half day periods on nominated subject(s).
• Carry out class instruction specifically demonstrating techniques of coaching, assessment, etc in accordance with the above programme, either in part or all as directed by the examiners.
• Prepare a written assessment, including proposals of improvement, in respect of two candidates nominated by the examiners.
